South Shore Furniture will fulfill in cooperation with Health Canada a voluntary recall of the South Shore Summer Breeze 5-drawer chest models: 3746035, 3210035, 3294035 and 3219035. Furniture over the height of 30 inches represents a tip over risk, especially if the anchor kit supplied by the manufacturer is not applied.
Since 2010, all South Shore products over 30 inches are delivered with a tip over restraint that meets the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F3096-14). However, South Shore feels that it is important to contact you to remind you of the necessity to anchor your furniture.

Hazard:
These chests are unstable and can tip-over if they are not anchored to the wall, posing a tip-over
and
entrapment hazard that can result in death or injuries to children.
Remedy:
Stop the use and place the recalled chest into an area that children cannot access, if you have not installed the tip over restraint provided with your product. Contact South Shore to receive a new anchor kit if you have not installed it or no longer have it in your possession. An installation video is available at the bottom of this page.

on a label affixed to the back of the chest and on the assembly guide. The chests measure 44-inches high
by 31-inches wide and 16-inches deep and weigh 88 pounds.
