"Advent Calendar" giveaway rules

DURATION OF GIVEAWAY

The “Advent Calendar” giveaway is organized by South Shore Furniture (South Shore Industries, Ltd) hereinafter the “giveaway organizer”. It will begin on December 1st, 2023 (8:00AM EDT) and end on December 7th, 2023 (11:59PM EDT) (hereinafter the “giveaway period”).

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the giveaway, participants must meet the following conditions:
• Be 18 years of age or older at the time of registration;
• Be a resident of Canada.
(Hereinafter the “eligible participant”)
Any person who falls in one of the following categories during the giveaway period or at the time of the draw, as applicable, is excluded from the giveaway:
- Employees, managers, directors, and senior executives of South Shore Furniture, the “giveaway organizer,” and people residing with them.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

To enter the giveaway, an eligible participant must:
- Follow our page @southshorefurniture on Instagram
- Follow the Instagram page of the partner mentioned in the post
- Comment the post by tagging two people, before the end of the day at midnight.

If any of the above conditions are not met, the participant’s entry will be deemed invalid. A participant can increase its chances of winning by sharing the post in a story and tagging @southshorefurniture on the same day the giveaway is posted. The giveaway period for the Advent Calendar giveaway is from December 1st, 2023 (8:00AM EDT) to December 7th, 2023 (11:59PM EDT). The winner will be announced within 48 hours after the end of the giveaway in the comment on the Instagram post of South Shore Furniture.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The winner will be randomly selected within le 48 hours following the giveaway from all participants who submitted their entries (for example: for December 1st, the winner will be drawn on December 3rd, and so on). The winner must accept the prize and fill out the RACJ (Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec) form within 48 hours, otherwise, another winner will be chosen. The winner will be announced in the comments of the @southshorefurniture Instagram post no later than two days after being drawn. If the winning participant refuses the prize or does not provide all their information, South Shore Furniture will choose a new winner.

Prize delivery

The furniture will be sent by South Shore Furniture at the address provided by the winning participant. Partners will be responsible for delivering their products at the same address. The winning participant won’t have to pay any shipping fees.

Disqualification

The giveaway organizer reserves the right to disqualify a participant or cancel one or more of his/her entries if that person participates, or tries to participate, in this giveaway using a method that is contrary to the rules set out herein or that could be unfair to the other participants.

Limit of liability

The giveaway organizer and the people for whom this giveaway is held will not be liable for the malfunctioning of any communications line, the loss or absence of any network communication, or any transmission that is faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or deleted by any computer or network that may limit any person’s ability to read the participation rules or prevent them from participating.

Changes to giveaway

The giveaway organizer reserves the right, at its entire discretion, to cancel, terminate, change, or suspend, in whole or in part, this giveaway in the event of any incident or human intervention that may corrupt of affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the giveaway as provided in these rules, subject to authorization by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if applicable. No liability will be attributed to them.

Authorization

By accepting the prize, each winner authorizes the giveaway organizer and their representatives to use their name, photograph, and video, without any form of compensation. Any dispute about the organization or administration of a promotional giveaway may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec. Any dispute regarding the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of helping parties reach a settlement. This giveaway is subject to all applicable laws.
