Put those iron pipes to good use!! Here’s an easy and fairly low cost project that’ll give your shelves an “industrial” look.
This shelving unit looks great in any room and can be sized to fit the space you’ve chosen (you can “double the recipe”). It’s sure to add a unique touch to your decor.
Here’s what you need:
Materials*:
*You can get most of these materials at a big box hardware store, but you may have to go to a retailer specializing in plumbing parts.
Process:
-Stain the shelves and let dry, then repeat until you get the result you want. We suggest you then apply a varnish or wax finish, to protect the shelves and increase the life of your shelving unit.
-Mark places for holes in all three shelves using the square, tape, and marker, then drill.
-Put the shelves and pipes together, and build the unit from the bottom up. Make sure you screw each pipe to the shelf securely.
-Attach the assembled pipe structure to the wall, using the level and anchors if needed.
And you’re all set:
